MESSAGE BY PASTORE COKER
SERMON :
GOD HAS A PLACE FOR YOU IN HIS PLAN
Text: Matthew 22:14
Says for many are invited but few are choosen
Introduction: God ultimate plan is for His kingdom to
be filled with saints, who will rule and reign with Him through out enternity.
God has a place for each one of His children in His kingdom in Matthew 22:14, we are given a sover warning.
MANY ARE CALLED: This is where many people make a tremendous mastake. They know God has spoken to them and called them to be a certain thing, but they believed a life from the devil that says, because you are called, you are automatically choosen. The word clearly states that many are called but few are choosen.
The word called means that you have been invited or appointed. God doesn’t want to perish but for all to come to the saving knoweldge of Jesus Christ. He has invited every person who has ever livied on the earth to become part of His family, you realise of course that not every person get saved.
There are conditions that must be met. If you humble yourself, repent of your sins and accept what Jesus did on the cross that you will be saved by grace through faith, not work least any man should boast Ephs:2 v8-9, only under this conditions God will accept you so that you become choosen.
If you try to get to God any other way, even though you have been invited, you will not be accepted.
The Word Choosen Means, You have been selected. It is one thing to recieve an invitation and another to be accepted.
God has extended the invitation for us to become His children to rule and reign with Christ as part eternal kingdom and to be vessels in His houshold.
If you don’t meet the conditions, you wont be choosen!! God is not mocked whatever you sow, you are going to reap (Gal: 6 v 7). You canot pervert the truth and disobey God’s standerds and expect God to excuse to your disobience.
Watch out for the contunation of this Message!!
May God bless you,
Yours His humble servant.
David

Pastor David's son, and ministry partner Rex Coker sent these pictures from Conakry Guinea. Rex says the need in Conakry is great, and asks us to pray about how we can help these people. This is Rex at a pharmacy clinic run by the ministry to help the sick, and to help fund the ministry. Currently, the shelves are almost empty, and they need medical supplies. Many of the people at New Family church are refugees from Sierra Leone, Liberia, and the Ivory Coast, who have very little. Even many of the natives of Guinea are living in poverty, and have serious need. Rex says that these pictures are some members of their church, living on less than $50 a month, and eating mostly just a kilo of rice a day for a large family. Their living conditions are not safe, nor are they any where near as comfortable as what much of the rest of the world enjoys. What will you do to help our brothers and sisters in Africa? | Baobob's Work in Sierra Leone |
Beaumont Enterprise Article on Baobob's Work in Sierra Leone

LUMBERTON - The Oval Office - the formal work space of the president of the United States - is spacious and elegantly appointed, complete with portraits of past presidents, priceless artwork on loan from museums and a white marble mantel. In stark contrast, the office of Ernest Bai Koroma, president of Sierra Leone, is small with a simple wood desk, a taupe leather sofa and regular office chairs. The walls are covered with an old campaign poster, paper maps of Africa and Sierra Leone, all unframed and taped to the wall. It was a difference that didn't escape Lumberton businessman Robert Bradsby when he walked into a meeting with Koroma in May to discuss plans to build seven schools in the country, among the most war-torn and poorest in the world. Koroma blocked off 15 minutes for his meeting with Bradsby but the meeting stretched into an hour and 15 minutes, Bradsby said. "I said to him multiple times, 'Mr. President, I know you are very busy, so I'll leave now,' but he wanted to hear more," Bradsby said. "He insisted that I stay longer." Bradsby, 83, said he was floored when Koroma pulled out a pen and notepad and started taking notes during the meeting. "I couldn't believe that the leader of a nation would do that," Bradsby said. "That told me he's really serious about this." Bradsby plans to build seven schools open to all children. He said there now are very few schools in Sierra Leone. Most of existing schools are religious institutions run by Muslims, the largest religious group in Sierra Leone. Girls and non-Muslims are not permitted to attend these schools. Bradsby said each of the schools he proposes will cost about $50,000 to build and serve 300 to 500 children from ages 4 to 18. Bradsby first visited the nation of Guinea, which abuts Sierra Leone to the north, more than 14 years ago on business. The extreme poverty in the region "broke my heart," Bradsby said, and upon his return to the United States, he immediately sent a 40-foot container packed with health supplies to Guinea. He later returned to the region to lead farming projects and to help build schools and churches, mostly using his own money. Five years ago, he expanded his work into Sierra Leone after the nation was devastated by a 10-year civil war. Bradsby now has 59 trips to western Africa under his belt and plans to return sometime in July. The airfare for each trip is about $2,000. Sierra Leone, a one-time British colony, ranks dead last on the United Nation's Human Development Index, which measures a country's average achievements in health, education and standard of living. The gross national income per capita is $220 and the vast majority of the people there don't have electricity, indoor plumbing or even clean drinking water. Still, Bradsby believes the nation is heading in the right direction with Koroma at its helm. "I sense that he is very sincere," Bradsby said. "He has a real heart and compassion for his people. I was thoroughly impressed by him. He exceeded my expectations." Sierra Leone, which was featured in the film "Blood Diamond," has considerable resources in diamonds as well as timber, but has been plagued by government mismanagement, violence and unscrupulous foreigners who smuggle diamonds out of the country for huge profits. Willing to help where they can, Bradsby and a Texas-based organization called the Bao Bob Foundation plan to raise money here in the United States to build the schools as well as continue existing projects to deliver food, clothing, and other supplies to impoverished nations. "The future of any country is the children and youth," he said. "You can change a nation through education." Labels: Dr. Bradsby, Sierra Leone |

NEW FAMILY CHURCH/ GATEWAY SCHOOL

WELCOME!! (Pastor David Coker)
THE NEW FAMIILY CHURCH The new family church is a Christian evangelical mission, Which is vision at preaching the gospel and winning lost souls for Christ? Matthew 28:19-20. Go ye into the world and preach the gospel, baptism them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things what so ever I have commanded you and lo I will be with you even unto end. Jesus said to His disciples, ‘’the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few’’. We also focus on bringing workers for the Lord’s harvest. THE GATEWAY SCHOOL:
The pastor David Coker wishes to acknowledge with sincere thanks and gratitude to the OPEN ARMS COMMUNITY CHURCH and BOABOB FOUNDATION for their untiring contribution and support in this part of Africa, Conakry Guinea/ West Africa. VOICE OF David Coker: ‘’ My profound thanks and appreciation goes to our Dynamic pastor Mike McAvoy, Josh Hatcher, William Anderson and Randy Morvant, who with all effectiveness has whole heartedly unfold the mysteries of giving to the NEW FAMILY CHURCH, to promote the kingdom of God, through their supports. Hence, I express my sincere thanks and I pray to God, to continue to re-activate the dreams and visions of Pastor Mike, Josh, elders and the entire congregation, William Anderson, Randy Morvant and the Boabob Foundation for the great that waits. The gateway school is the mission’s school geared at providing decent, moral, physical, religious and academic education for refugee’s children from Sierra Leone, Liberia as well as children from Ghana, Nigeria residing in Guinea. Many Guineans also attend the school. The school is determined to give a sure foundation to the children by giving them training in their spiritual, moral and intellectual lives with Christian based principles. The school runs from kindergarten (nursery) to the twelve (12th) grades.
PREPARING LEADERS FOR THE HARVEST. It was a great surprise to me one Sunday morning to see pastor Coker shearing his new vision, which he titled, PREPARE FOR THE HARVEST. I asked myself, our dynamic pastor Coker has been preaching on the topic NUT AND BOLT IN RELATIONSHIP, which notes was sent by the OPEN ARMS COMMUNITY CHURCH (Mike). To my surprise, I saw myself dancing and rejoicing together with other leaders for been choose as one of the home group’s leader.
A NEW VISION (PASTOR DAVID COKER).
My vision is to break the church into small groups. Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18: 19-20. The Lord does not only dwell in temples or cathedrals, He also dwells where two or three gather and call upon the name of the Lord.
THE ACTIVE VOICE For couple of Sundays, Pastor Coker has been preaching on home cells. See message: HOME GROUP/ CELL GROUP CONCEPTS Acts 2:42-47 INTRODUCTION: As congregation grows, different people come to the church and to Christ (adding to the former). From several backgrounds, many of these people need personal attention, nurturing and discipline, which cannot be done in the church, by the pastor (s) and few officials.
Also many Muslins and other non believers may never attend a church for their very good reasons. But they can come to the home/ cell group in the community without been ashamed, embarrassed or afraid. So the home/ cell group can be effectively used for evangelism and discipleship. (A) 1- WHAT IS HOME GROUP/ CELL GROUP? It is a meeting where a group of people get together to study and meditate on God’s word (the bible) and shear together in Christian love.

It can be used evangelistically for discipleship and building up the body of the local church. 2- BIBLICAL BASIS: a. Acts 2:42-46, 4:23-32, Romans 16:3-5. It is biblical, or scriptural. b. A place of fellowship and nurturing. (B) IT’S PURPOSE: Evangelism is not complete until there is discipleship. a. Reach out and invite friend, office mates, etc... b. Interested new comers to the church. C. Through person to person and open air evangelism. 2- NURTURE: a. Establish a ground for the new convert (1Peter 2:2) b. Lead to discipleship, life style changed. 3- GORWTH AND PASTOREAL CARE: a. Churches grow through cells, as many add on and cells multiply. b. Effective discipleship goes on through home cells. 4- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Spiritual, Physical, Environmental; through network of home cells. (c) 3 FOUR MAIN ACTIVITIES OF A HOME GROUP. 1- Acts 20:20 Bible teaching and learning together. a. Must be purposeful, meeting specific needs. b. James 1:22-25 must lead to knowledge and obedience. 2- Fellowshipping: Greek word KOINONIA, mean given and taking a shear. a. shearing needs, testimonies, prayer request etc. b. Gal 6:2, 9, 10 caring for one another by meeting practical needs. c. Eph 5:19 Worshiping. 3- Acts 2:42 shearing together through personal and group interaction, food. 4- Acts 12:12 praying together, for one another and other needs and or request.
Members in action for the Lord.
Our beloved Pastor has brought a great change in the lives of Muslims, non-believers, orphans, homeless youths etc.
He gives open arms to face him.
 FEEDING THE CHURCH.
Above is the photo of an example set by our Pastor. There was a great joy in the NEW FAMILY CHURCH on the 13th April 2008. Pastor Coker decided to feed the congregation and who ever may be in need, This was done as an example to the church and those going for the harvest.
All he taught, was about the lives of the early church, they were going out breaking bread from house to house in one accord, selling their possession and shearing to those in need.
LET EVERY THING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD

Young George Coker and sister, Biglet Coker, demonstrating the gift which God has given them. George Coker started playing piano by the help of the Holy Spirit. It was a surprise to all church members seeing George playing piano, which he was not though how to play. By the grace of God, he has been anointed and will ever continue to play till the Lord returns. Biglet also is gifted musician, she compose and right gospel songs.
On the right, is a brother who was converted by our late Mama of the church (Rosaline Coker). This brother has been so zealous for the Lord and he is a Guinean and also serving in the arm force of the Republic of Guinea.
A WOMAN OF LOVE Mrs. Millicent Bindi serves as the Gateway School principal. By the grace of God, she is a mother of four children: tow boys and two girls. She gives open arms to all children at the school, church etc. All the children love her and call her mama. She encourages and tells children about their future, she is so loving and caring.
She had been a faithful friend to our late Mama (Rosaline Coker) who passed away on the 25-july-2007. She is married to Augustine Bindi, the Chairman of the NEW FAMILY CHURCH BOARD. They are blessed with children.
VOICE OF MRS. MILLICENT BINDI.
There are many school activities that should be conducted as planned by the administration for the remaining months of this year. - Monthly tests/ quizzes. - Terminal (end of term) examinations. - End of term exam. - African child day celebration.
The school has just sent some students to Sierra Leone for the West African Senior School Certificate Exam (WASSCE).
The church, school and parents are praying for success for the children sent in this exam. We are kindly asking for your prayers, support of any kind to facilitate the children to achieve their goals. As the phrase says, ‘’Learning is better that silver and gold. The children are facing financial constrains over there in Sierra Leone. The money the school afforded in franc Guinea did not meet the amount demanded by the Sierra Leone government. The children are to take the exam for two and half Months. They are our future generation. May God reach your hearts as you have passion on the children struggling for their future.

THE TOP FOR THE YEAR 2008
TOP SPORT EVENT the sport event was very exciting. The students formed four (4) groups Red, Yellow, Green and blue. Among these compositing groups, all the others were despising Yellow house and expected them to take last position. But on the contrary, they became the hero and winner of the athletics meet. Yellow house was headed by James Smith and Komba Kemoh. On my met with Mr. Smith, he told me say, ‘’ though we are despised, but let them realise that God uses the foolish things to confirm the wise. And not only, ‘’the stone the builders reject will be the chief Conner stone.
The Church Building. The church and school building is currently on rented building. On which the landlord served us a letter to quite the building. It is on two conditions, either he increases the rent or we leave the building.
We need your pray of any kind. If it is God’s will for us to quite, let him provide us a place. If it is not His will, let him enter his heart to for us to come to one conclusion.
TESTIMONY When the sport was about to commence all the other groups forgot to pray in their individual groups. They were all anxious to have the competition begin. A little girl at the age of 7-+ called the house master (Mr Smith) and reminded him to pray for success. Mr. Smith was so busy; he did not want to pay attention to the little girl. He lifts the girl and continued his work. On his work, the spirit forced him to go back and order the group to pray. He immediately informed all of them to pray. Indeed they were the champion.
There are three faiths in prayer: 1. Power in the name of Jesus. When you call the name Jesus, with faith some thing positive is bound to happen. 2. The word of God. God says ‘’ my word shall never return to me unaccomplished. 3. Heaven and earth shall pass away but my word shall never pass away.
URGENT PRAYER REQUEST: 1. The living condition in Conakry Guinea is going beyond the expectation of the people living in Guinea. 2. The increased in fuel price (petrol), has cause the cast of living high. If it continues like this, there will be too much of suffering in this country. 3. Pray for stability in the countries business affairs (transaction). 4. A bag of rice today is 200,000 franc Guinea. We need God’s intervention in this land.
